The rider and the trainer were interviewed and shown recordings of the race; the vet reported a post-race examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. The rider stated that his instructions were to jump off last, as the mare has been keen in her races, get her settled and ride her as he found her. He further stated that she jumped a bit novicey and he had held on to her head round the final bend as he was conscious that a horse had slipped up there at the last meeting.
