Well in touch, not fluent 4th, progress to track leading trio 14th, went 2nd before 3 out and soon joined leader, going best until led last, ridden and found enough to assert final 100yds (op 20/1 tchd 14/1 and tchd 22/1)
Looked well; jumped slightly right 1st but tended to jump slightly left, pressed leaders, went 2nd after 13th, led after 4 out, joined next, shaken up 2 out, headed last, stayed on but readily held (op 8/1)
Tended to jump slightly left, prominent but needed pushing to hold place, not fluent 3rd, lost place 13th and toiling in 6th after 4 out, kept on again from 3 out, took 3rd after last (op 11/2)
Held up in rear, blundered 12th, progress next, pushed along to go 5th after 4 out, ridden to chase leading pair 3 out, no impression, weakened and lost 3rd after last (op 9/2)
Looked well; mostly chased leader, mistake 13th, soon lost 2nd, weakened before 3 out (trainer could offer no explanation for the poor form shown; vet reported the gelding had bled from its nose) (op 7/2)
