Tuesday's EFL predictions
League One leaders Birmingham have looked a class above their rivals and they look a solid wager to rack up a ninth win in 11 games by seeing off 11th-placed Bolton at St Andrew's.
After spending record amounts for a third-tier club, Birmingham were always fancied to be big players in the promotion race.
The Midlands outfit have put together an immensely strong squad and are exceptionally well coached by Chris Davies, who seems destined to manage at a higher level.
Bolton were among the teams hoping to give Birmingham a run for their money but they started slowly and, despite a recent revival, are eight points adrift of the summit.
Ian Evatt's side have improved since reverting to the three-man defence they favoured last season and are likely to be in the mix to be best of the rest.
However, they look a level below the Blues and may suffer their fourth league loss of the campaign.
Bradford are starting to punch their weight in League Two and can reel off a fourth successive win by defeating Cheltenham at Whaddon Road.
Graham Alexander's side came from behind to win 2-1 at home to Gillingham on Saturday and they should be too strong for their struggling hosts, who have lost two of their last three home games.
Automatic promotion will be the aim for Bradford and the same ambition applies to MK Dons, despite their mixed start to the campaign.
The Dons are 13th but they were impressive 3-1 winners at Morecambe on Saturday and can follow it up with a home win over Accrington, who have lost four from five on their travels.
Mid-table Newport have lost their last three matches but they can pick up a point or three from their trip to out-of-sorts Gillingham.
Nelson Jardim's side competed well for long spells of Friday's 3-0 loss at home to Chesterfield and they can cause problems for injury-hit Gills, who have lost four on the bounce.
