Tuesday's EFL predictions
Bristol City vs Sheffield United
Bristol City are as tough to beat as any side in the Championship this season but a visit from Sheffield United might be one test they fail.
Liam Manning's side have drawn seven of their 13 matches and lost only twice.
On the flip side they have played only one team in the top six - drawing 0-0 at home to Leeds in a game where the Whites had 13 more shots from twice as much possession - and United have more than enough pedigree to see off the Robins.
City are unbeaten in eight and were worthy 3-1 winners at Preston on Saturday, despite losing midfielders George Tanner and Joe Williams to injury.
But this is the type of step up they've not really experienced yet this term and United head for Ashton Gate following a pair of 2-0 wins over Stoke and Blackburn.
Stockport vs Wycombe
Stockport went up to League One amid a real fanfare but are finding tier three appreciably tougher than League Two to crack.
The Hatters aren't losing many games - two in total - but, like Bristol City, now they are a division higher they are struggling to turn draws into wins. Their six draws are the most in the section.
They face a real test against Wycombe Wanderers next up as the Chairboys head to the north-west second in the table and on a five-match winning streak.
Wycombe's only defeat in 14 was a 2-1 loss to Aston Villa in the EFL Cup and they will present a style that Stockport might struggle to combat. The visitors look a bit of value.
Burton vs Crawley
It's perhaps not best to read too much into a 1-0 win over Scarborough, but Burton were right to celebrate it having lost eight in a row before that FA Cup success over the Seadogs.
Interim boss Tom Hounsell has inherited a high-class squad which Mark Robinson just couldn't inspire so maybe the revival will start with the change in the dug-out.
Next up is Crawley - 22nd to Burton's 24th in League One - and a chance for Danilo Orsi to remind the club he left in the summer what an ace striker he still is.
