Exeter have had a mixed start to the League One season, suffering four defeats in six games, but victories over Bolton and Rotherham - two sides expected to challenge for promotion - suggest they are more capable than they have shown.

It has been a pretty tough set of opening fixtures for the Grecians, who have also faced Peterborough and Blackpool, and they can get matters back in hand against travel-sick Stevenage.

Stevenage were convincing 3-0 winners at home to Barnsley last weekend but they have failed to win their opening two away games at Huddersfield and Burton.

That means Boro have not won any of their last ten away games in League One and they have fired five blanks in that period, suggesting that Exeter can repeat last season’s 1-0 win in this fixture.

Chesterfield were League Two’s pre-season title favourites and, while they have yet to live up to those expectations, they should prove strong at home for Cheltenham, who have lost their opening three away trips to Grimsby, Walsall and Salford.

Punters can eke out some extra value by backing Chesterfield to triumph in a high-scoring encounter.

The Spireites have conceded in five of their six fourth-tier fixtures, which includes all three home games against Swindon, Salford and Grimsby, while Cheltenham have failed to score only once.
