Rotherham and Ipswich appear to have hit the buffers at just the wrong time, with the distraction of the EFL Trophy perhaps an excuse for the Millers' recent struggles.
The hosts still have their automatic promotion fate in their own hands but they have to arrest an alarming run of form that has seen them lose three league games on the bounce, all without scoring, while they needed a last-gasp goal to force extra-time against League Two side Sutton in the Trophy final at Wembley.
But a meeting with Ipswich may provide the perfect opportunity for them to get back on track. The Tractor Boys have won just one of their last five games to all-but end their playoff hopes.
Rotherham have won their last three games against Town without conceding, including a 2-0 success in the reverse fixture, and they can grind out another victory to stay in the promotion hunt.
