Prominent, disputed lead 3 out, ridden and headed after 2 out, 1 length second last, pulled up run-in, fatally injured (An enquiry was held to establish whether kevin brogan, had failed to pull up and dismount his horse after the final hurdle when the gelding appeared to have gone lame. jockey said that after jumping the final hurdle the gelding went wrong briefly at which point he immediately began to ease and pull up. he added that whilst trying to pull up, the gelding then momentarily regained its action whilst still being eased, before going wrong again approaching the line, at which point he dismounted immediately) (op 10/11 tchd 8/11)
