In rear, plenty to do when not clear run over 1f out, some headway inside final furlong, eyecatcher (inquiry was held into running and riding of colt which after jumping well was restrained to the rear before staying on in straight under hands and heels riding; jockey stated he had no specific instructions, other than to ensure that colt settled as he has previously shown a tendency to both run freely and race awkwardly; jockey explained that after colt jumped well from stall 13, he wanted colt to obtain cover and relax, so gradually let him drift back and find his feet but colt still ran freely towards the end of the back straight; jockey reported at scales that colt hung left handed and expanded on this by saying that colt was still very green and with this at forefront of his mind, he was focused on keeping colt balanced approaching and rounding the home turn and avoid being carried wide; jockey further added that initially he had fought the colt hanging left-handed off the bend and tried to steer him into the middle of the track; however eventually he had allowed colt to hang left-handed towards far rail and in his opinion colt had not really finished the race off particularly well in final furlong; trainer confirmed there were no specific instructions but agreed with the objectives outlined by jockey and indicated that she was satisfied with the manner in which colt had been handled) (op 125/1)
