Midfield, ran green, headway to lead over 7f out, pushed along and headed over 2f out, ridden and edged right over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong (op 17/2 tchd 10/1)
Slowly into stride, held up in rear, shaken up and headway over 1f out, too much to do (following an enquiry into running and riding, jockey said his instructions had been to break well from the stalls and ride the filly handy, ideally tracking two favoured runners; he said filly wore a blindfold for stalls entry and was wearing a barrier blanket for the first occasion today; jockey added that filly had jumped awkwardly and missed the break, possibly in his opinion due to the fright of the blanket being removed which meant that he had been forced to settle the filly much further back in the field than intended; jockey said the very slow pace compounded his problems, and that from halfway down the back straight he had become pocketed inside by one rival and behind another which dictated that he was unable to improve his position for some distance; jockey added that on the bend leaving the back straight the leaders quickened up appreciably and got first run on him, whilst he had been unable to extricate himself out from the rail until approaching 2 1/2f out, whereupon he immediately shifted the filly out wider on the track and commenced to ride a finish, adding that the filly had stayed on pleasingly after having been left with too much ground to make up in the circumstances; the explanation was noted.) (op 3/1)
Steadied start, held up in rear, some headway over 1f out, never near to challenge (jockey said filly ran too free before being denied a clear run later in the race) (op 150/1)
