Slowly into stride, held up, not much room 3f out, headway over 2f out, shaken up to lead inside final furlong, soon ridden, just held on (op 5/1 tchd 13/2)
Slowly into stride, held up, ridden, hung left and ran on inside final furlong, not quite get there (jockey said that his instructions were to jump out and obtain a prominent position, however the gelding was slowly away from the stalls and mindful of the fact that the gelding has a history of racing freely he gave him plenty of time to settle off the strong early gallop. He added that he was satisfied with his position leaving the back straight and had considered attempting a run through on the inside rail but felt this was risky, given several runners were starting to weaken in front of him, and it was at this point he considered it a better option t switch the gelding wider to commence his challenge from which point the gelding ran on strongly to obtain his best possible placing; trainers representative confirmed the instructions and stated that, having spoken to the trainer, he was satisfied the ride given accorded with them allowing for the fact that the gelding was slowly away) (tchd 7/1)
Held up in touch raced keenly, not clear run and lost place over 2f out, never dangerous after (jockey said the colt was denied a clear run turning into the home straight) (op 6/4 tchd 13/8)
