Slowly away, raced in last, still plenty to do when shaken up over 2f out, keeping on when bit short of room inside final furlong, soon switched right, nearest finish, just failed (op 11/1 tchd 10/1)
Slowly away, in rear, shaken up 3f out, soon edged left, still plenty to do when switched right 1f out, kept on well up the centre towards finish, nearest finish (jockey was slow to remove the blindfold resulting in the gelding being slow to start. Jockey's explanation was that due to having been loaded last into the stalls and the gelding having his head awkwardly positioned towards the adjoining stall, there had been insufficient time to untuck the blindfold from under the bridle and was therefore slow to remove the blindfold when the start was effected) (op 9/2 tchd 4/1)
Disputed lead against far rail, ridden to lead over 2f out, ran on over 1f out, edged left inside final furlong, headed final 110yds, finished tired (op 9/2)
