He added that the mare made a bad mistake at the second hurdle causing his saddle to slip which resulted in him losing considerable ground, which he reported at scales. He further explained that following the mistake he was niggling and hitting the mare down the shoulder to try and encourage her to go forward and make up the ground lost. The trainer stated that due to the mare's mistake at the second hurdle the rider was unable to ride in accordance with the instructions given.
