Midfield, ridden over 2f out, switched right over 1f out, headway and chased clear leader inside final furlong, stayed on to lead final strides (trainer's rep said filly benefitted from the strong pace) (op 6/1)
Slowly into stride, in rear and pushed along early, headway over 1f out, not clear run and switched right inside final furlong, pushed along and kept on final 110yds, never on terms (an inquiry was held into running and riding; vet reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities; jockey stated that her instructions were to drop the gelding out, but gelding dropped the bridle soon after the start and she had to encourage him to run; she added that shortly after turning in, she had to take a slight preventative check to avoid running onto the heels of Baileys Freedom who had edged across her but gelding then ran on well to the finish; trainer stated he was satisfied with the ride and that it accorded with the instructions given; he added that gelding won as a 2yo at Southwell and he has since seen less enthusiasm from the gelding; he further added that he put cheekpieces on gelding at Kempton last time out, but he chose to remove them today, as in his opinion, they had a negative impact on the gelding's performance; he added that he will try to sweeten up gelding at home, with the aim of regaining his enthusiasm; their explanations were noted) (tchd 10/1 and tchd 14/1)
Midfield, raced wide and lost position home turn, behind and eased inside final furlong, lost action (jockey said filly lost its action rounding the bend) (tchd 8/1 and tchd 10/1)
