Took keen hold, tracked leaders, effort and chased winner after 3 out, kept on same pace from last (jockey said that the gelding hung right throughout) (op 22/1)
Held up in touch, steady headway and close up 3 out, effort and switched left before next, ridden when hit last, hung right run-in, no impression (op 11/4)
Took keen hold, soon in touch, effort and pushed along before 3 out, weakened from next (jockey said, regarding the runing and riding, that stated that his instructions were to drop the gelding in, switch him off and move into the race once the gelding was settled. He further added that the gelding was keen early in the race and was handier than he would have liked. He further added that having settled the gelding from half way down the back straight he had then asked the gelding for an effort when turning into the home straight. The rider added that gelding had made a mistake at the second last and had become tired. He added that when the gelding became tired, after the second last, he had given the gelding a hands and heels ride to the line; the trainer confirmed the instructions and added that it had not gone entirely to plan as the gelding had ran too free early on, but overall he was satisfied with the ride given) (op 9/2)
