Blue Bresil (FR) |

Held up and behind, steady headway on wide outside before 4 out, shaken up and chased winner run-in, kept on, too much to do (jockey said, regarding the running and riding, her instructions were to jump off at the rear, creep into the race whilst getting the gelding jumping and breathing, and to do her best. she added that the gelding had a breathing problem which she had not initially reported at scales, but reported to the stipendiary steward when informed that an enquiry was going to be held. she further stated that she therefore kept a tight hold of the gelding's head so he could breathe and that she had only asked for an effort after the last fence in an attempt to finish the race in the best possible placing. the trainer stated he was happy with the ride given but added that in his opinion the gelding could have been ridden slightly closer from 2 out. he further added that on viewing a recording of the race, he could not be sure how well the gelding was going turning in to the home straight) (op 33/1 tchd 25/1) | ||||||||||
