Cook was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination found the gelding to be slightly lame right hind. Cook explained that he walked the gelding for several strides and then proceeded to trot before allowing the gelding to canter up the run in at his own pace. He further added that at no stage did the gelding feel in any discomfort or show any signs of lameness) (op 13/2 tchd 17/2)
