Held up, pushed along in moderate 9th after 4 out and no impression, tailed off (jockey said that his instructions were to jump off mid-division or closer, to try and get the horse jumping well and finish best he could, he added that the horse jumped and travelled well before taking a blow and getting very tired in the closing stages; trainer confirmed instructions and expressed his satisfaction with the performance of both horse and rider. He added that the horse is only having his second run back after a long lay off and should improve for the run as a result. He also confirmed that the horse liked the ground and should appreciate a step up in trip in time)
Chased leaders early, soon settled in mid-division, slight mistake 2nd, no impression before 4 out, tailed off (trainer said, regarding running and riding, that his orders were, to settle the gelding in mid-division and get it jumping and come home as best he could, he added that it has a respiratory issue and has always made a noise at home on previous runs, he expressed his satisfaction with the ride but accepted that it could have been closer, if put into the race earlier; jockey confirmed, adding that having jumped poorly it got further back than he had hoped, he gave it a chance in the back straight and having filled its lungs, stayed on well past beaten horses; 30-day ban, all reasonable and permissable measures were not given to obtain best possibly placing)
