Soon led, took keen hold early, joined briefly 4 out, still with narrow advantage next, strongly pressed 2 out, stayed on well under pressure from last, all out, just (op 6/4 tchd 11/8)
Chased leaders, 5th halfway, took closer order before 3 out, progress to challenge before 2 out, every chance on terms before last, kept on well run-in without matching winner, just held (op 5/1)
Chased leaders early, stumbled slightly in 8th after 3rd, took closer order 4 out, ridden into 2nd before next, no extra under pressure in 3rd 2 out, kept on one pace (jockey said that he approached the hurdle tracking Celtic Bright the mount of A.P. Heskin and was about to pull up when Celtic Bright jumped the hurdle and his own mount did likewise from almost a standstill. He added that he was caught unawares by his mounts actions)
In rear, last halfway, took closer order before 3 out, went never threatening 5th before 2 out, kept on well from last, nearest finish (jockey said, his orders were to jump out and get the mare to settle, give it plenty of daylight at its hurdles, get around safely and do his best, it travelled well on the uphill run but began to come back under him when racing downhill, from that point he nudged along and kept galloping but overall he felt that both he and the mare tired in the closing stages and he rode as best he could admitting that he was capable of riding stronger and a third place finish should have been attained.)
Held up in rear of mid-division, 10th halfway, some headway from 4 out, ridden and no extra from next, slight mistake in moderate 6th 2 out, kept on one pace (jockey said, that his mount was a little keen going to the start and could not be restrained despite the slow pace that he approached the hurdle and in view of the animals inexperience he allowed him to pop the hurdle rather than allow him to halt quickly on the take off side)
