Bargain-buy Blue Storm landed another lucrative prize this season for Gemma Tutty when narrowly taking the feature £60,000 5f handicap.

The Dave Lowe-owned three-year-old notched his second success this year when scoring by a head. He also scooped the 3YO Dash at Epsom on Derby day in June, while he finished second in the Palace of Holyroodhouse at Royal Ascot too.

"We're still sulking about Ascot!" Tutty, speaking from Newmarket, joked. "He didn't run to his best at Beverley last time, but he was absolutely bouncing after. We came here looking for a solid answer and he gave us it.

"This was the icing on the cake. He's so competitive, and to see him stick his neck out like he did was great. I only caught it on my phone, so I'll enjoy watching it back."

After winning off a mark of 99, Tutty might explore some classier options with the 7,000gns purchase.

She added: "He's run some massive races this year but we've saved him for the backend, so if he comes out of this okay we'll assess our options. We might pitch him a bit higher now too."

Fallon flying

After a treble on Friday's card, Cieren Fallon's flying course form continued on Woven in the 6f handicap.

It took the rider's strike-rate at the track this year to a red-hot 42 per cent.

Shock win

Flying Finn took Adrian Keatley's strike-rate at the track to 20 per cent with a shock success at 18-1 in the £38,000 mile handicap.
