Harry Derham hopeful €320,000 buy Imagine has the right credentials for Paddy Power Gold Cup bid at Cheltenham
Harry Derham believes big-money buy Imagine has the right profile to take his career to the next level by winning the Paddy Power Gold Cup on Saturday.
The third-season trainer has long had his sights set on the first big handicap chase of the season at Cheltenham with a six-year-old bought for €320,000 at the Caldwell dispersal sale in February.
And he is confident the sponsor's 5-1 second favourite is in good shape ahead of the £150,000 showpiece, despite not having run since landing a beginners' chase and a Grade 2 novice event from three starts for Gordon Elliott last season.
