Spotlight Lucky 15: four horses to back on Thursday

The best four Spotlight tips to include in a Lucky 15 bet today . . .

What is a Lucky 15?

A Lucky 15 is one of the most popular multiple bets among horseracing punters and the clue is in the name as a Lucky 15 consists of 15 bets on four selections in different events. That equals four singles, six doubles, four trebles and a fourfold accumulator.

The beauty of the Lucky 15 is that only one selection of four must win to guarantee a return and the majority of bookmakers will offer incentives to play the bet.

Edvard Grieg 2.20 Salisbury
Ex-Irish 3yo maiden who showed improvement, beating all bar the odds-on favourite, at Nottingham (1m, good) last month on debut for new yard; could well build on that effort; interesting off the same mark.

Surrey Fire 4.32 Lingfield
Hung left round Kempton when well held on his comeback and bounced back when making most to win a 1m2f novice here last time; needs more now handicapping but he's unexposed and the return to this longer trip should suit, so he's respected.

Naaey 4.50 Haydock
Made it two wins from her five starts when scoring at Doncaster (1m2f, good to firm) last month in her second handicap; did it comfortably and a 6lb rise may not stop her if conditions are suitable (unproven on slow ground).

The Glen Rovers 5.40 Newbury
Went close in a Polytrack bumper last November; clearly best effort under Flat rules came on latest start when winning a nine-runner race at Newcastle (1m2f, AW) in July, coming from the rear to justify favouritism by a neck; more to prove on turf but it looks as though 1m4f will help and it's easy to envisage further improvement which will outstrip his 3lb rise.
