Gerry Dilger Equine Scholarship Foundation announces two recipients for 2025 Irish National Stud programme
The Gerry Dilger Equine Scholarship Foundation board has announced the two recipients of its Irish National Stud tuition and placement scholarship for 2025.
Josefina Posada has travelled extensively in her quest to learn and progress in the bloodstock world. The Colombian attended Hartpury University, graduating with first class honours in equine science. She also gained valuable experience at Barton Stud and is currently an intern at Lane's End Farm in Versailles, Kentucky.
While aiming to develop a role with bloodstock development, Posada also aims to encourage and inspire her fellow Colombians to have an opportunity to pursue an equine career.
The second recipient is Eric Resendiz, a graduate of the Bluegrass Community and Technical College's equine program in Lexington. Kentucky.
Having worked for Godolphin, WinStar, St George Sales and Amplify Horse Racing, Resendiz is very grateful to have the opportunity to broaden his European horse knowledge with this experience.
The scholarship was established in memory of the late Gerry Dilger, an Irish-born horseman and breeder who moved to America at the age of 19 and had a long career in Kentucky. More information can be found at www.gerrydilgerequine.com.
