Weekend Briefing: Ins, outs & injury doubts for this week's matches
Cadiz lacking firepower against La Liga leaders Real Sociedad
Cadiz strikers crocked for clash with leaders
Cadiz are set to be without their first-choice strike force, derailing their hopes of breaking their home duck against La Liga leaders Real Sociedad.
Veteran former Sevilla and Manchester City frontman Alvaro Negredo has a calf strain and looks likely to miss out.
His strike partner Anthony Lozano produced a positive Covid-19 test while away with Honduras and is self-isolating.
They were already without central midfielder Jose Mari, who is out until the new year after picking up a knee injury last month, while his replacement Augusto Fernandez and centre-back Juan Cala are additions to the injured list.
Promoted Cadiz have enjoyed a fine start to life in the top flight – they are sixth in the table despite having failed to win a single home game.
Brighter outlook for Baggies
West Brom have received a lift with three players available again after testing positive for Covid-19.
Callum Robinson tested positive while on international duty with Ireland and was forced to miss their games against England, Wales and Bulgaria.
He had to self-isolate for ten days but has now resumed training and should be available at Manchester United.
Albion will also have Branislav Ivanovic and Matheus Pereira available for the trip to Manchester. They recorded positive tests prior to the Premier League game against Tottenham.
Mowbray has plenty to moan about
Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray does not expect to have Ryan Nyambe fit for their Championship tussle at Luton after the right-back picked up a thigh issue while away on international duty with Namibia.
"Is it a surprise considering he's been on three flights to get to central Africa, on the back of the games he’s been playing? Not really," moaned Mowbray.
Mowbray is also set to be without Lewis Holtby, Daniel Ayala and Derrick Williams at Kenilworth Road while Stewart Downing may only be on the bench after coming through a friendly after a layoff.
Bolton are hot to trot
Things are starting to look up for Bolton, fresh from wins over big-spenders Salford in League Two and Newcastle's kids in the Football League Trophy.
Now boss Ian Evatt has a fully-fit squad available for their league clash with Stevenage after forwards Lloyd Isgrove and Shaun Miller came through run-outs against the Toon's youngsters following recent knocks.
"Now we have some real firepower, attacking options that can affect games," said Evatt.
Hoffenheim still struggling
Hoffenheim striker Sargis Adamyan tested positive for Covid-19 while away with Armenia and joins a growing absentee list for his club side's Bundesliga clash with Stuttgart.
Two months after stunning Bayern Munich 4-1 Hoffenheim haven't won another league game and have slumped from top spot to 13th.
They have been plagued by injuries with Stefan Posch, Dennis Geiger, Ermin Bicakacic and Konstantinos Stafylidis still unavailable.
Covid has also rampaged through the squad and as well as being without Adamyan, they will also be missing Sebastian Rudy, Munas Dubbur, Kevin Vogt and possibly others.
