Friday's ATP Finals predictions

The final day of round-robin action takes place at the ATP Finals on Friday and all four men have a mathematical chance to progress from the John Newcombe Group.

Alexander Zverev vs Carlos Alcaraz predictions

Paris Masters champion Alexander Zverev is in charge of his own destiny after winning his opening two matches in Turin and the German can make it a perfect three from three with a victory over Carlos Alcaraz in Friday's first contest.

This is a repeat of the French Open final which Alcaraz won but it's Zverev who is the man in form at present, posting straight-sets Turin victories over Andrey Rublev and Casper Ruud.

While the pair are locked together at 5-5 in head-to-head meetings, Zverev has won the two previous indoor hard-court clashes, including on this stage last year.

Casper Ruud vs Andrey Rublev predictions

Both underdogs could prevail with Ruud taken to defeat Rublev in the evening contest.

Winless Rublev will be eliminated if Alcaraz beats Zverev but his chances of progressing are minimal either way, while Ruud will be fully focused regardless of the earlier result.

The Norwegian arrived in Turin in dismal form but he's since beaten Alcaraz and was competitive against Zverev on Wednesday, particularly in the opening set.

There's every chance he can take down Rublev, who has lost 12 straight sets at the ATP Finals including defeats against Ruud in the 2022 semi-finals and in the group stage a year ago.
