When did I'm A Celebrity 2024 start?

This year's series of I'm A Celebrity 2024 started on Sunday November 17.

I'm A Celebrity 2024 outright odds

Danny Jones of the band McFly was the pre-competition favourite with bet365 and there has been nothing from the opening couple of episodes to change the opinion that he has a great chance of being crowned King of the Jungle.

Jones excelled in the first Bushtucker trial of the series on Sunday, while the spotlight fell on podcaster GK Barry in Monday night's episode.

The Saving Grace podcast star secured nine stars out of ten in the 'Vile Volcano' trial and her efforts were rewarded at the end of the episode when it was revealed Dean McCullough would be doing the next trial.

GK Barry may well have won over more of the public with her performance in the trial in an episode which revealed more about this year's celebrities.

Coleen Rooney spoke about her trial with Rebekah Vardy, while boxing legend Barry McGuigan opened up about the death of his daughter in 2019.

Both of the aforementioned celebrities have come off well in the opening episodes and could fare better than their odds suggest.

It is very early days but Alan Halsall, who has played Tyrone in Coronation Street since 1998, and singer-rapper Tulisa have been appointed leaders of the camp, so they could easily rub people up the wrong way both inside and outside the camp.

I'm A Celebrity 2024 first elimination prediction

The first elimination of I'm A Celebrity 2024 is still some way off but it is already clear which celebrities will come to the fore and which could fade into the background.

GK Barry struck the perfect balance between entertaining and successful in her first trial - Vile Volcano - in Monday's episode, while Coleen Rooney and Barry McGuigan also came across well when speaking to the camp about significant life events.

Tulisa and Alan Halsall's roles as camp leaders mean they will be regularly featured, while outright favourite Danny Jones is a lively and likeable figure.

One celebrity who could be at risk early on is radio DJ Melvin Odoom, whose air time has been limited and he has already featured in a Dingo Dollar challenge, so he might not be on screen again in a challenge anytime soon.

Odoom entered the jungle with one of the smaller celebrity profiles and could well be the first to leave.
