When did I'm A Celebrity 2024 start?

This year's series of I'm A Celebrity 2024 started on Sunday November 17.

I'm A Celebrity 2024 outright odds

Danny Jones of the band McFly was the pre-competition favourite with bet365 and there has been nothing from the opening episode to change the opinion that he has a great chance of being crowned King of the Jungle.

Jones took part in the first Bushtucker trial with boxing legend Barry McGuigan and emerged from some underground tombs with five stars after cracking codes while being surrounded by snakes, something he expressed a great fear of before going in.

It could take plenty to knock him off his perch and a lot could depend on whether viewers take podcaster GK Barry to their hearts after she had a difficult first day.

She did plenty of screaming and is clearly uncomfortable around creepy crawlies, so it was little surprise that she was picked to do the second trial that was due to be broadcast on Monday night.

If she conquers her fears she could go well, but if it all becomes too much then the prospect of moving back to a luxury hotel may prove too much.

It is very early days but Alan Halsall, who has played Tyrone in Coronation Street since 1998, and singer-rapper Tulisa have been appointed leaders of the camp, so they could easily rub people up the wrong way both inside and outside the camp.

I'm A Celebrity 2024 first elimination prediction

After just a day in the camp, contestants in this year's series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! have not had a great opportunity to shine.

If the public see someone struggling with camp life, they tend to keep them in the show, so there looks a strong chance that however much GK Barry finds the surroundings unpleasant, viewers will be reluctant to see her leave.

Coleen Rooney, wife of former England star Wayne, is also unlikely to go as long as there remains the off-chance that producers will fly in former camp occupant Rebekah Vardy following the pair's high-profile 'Wagatha Christie' libel trial.

Rooney looks set to stay for some time yet and there is still plenty of time for some of the outsiders to make their presence felt as they get used to life in the jungle.

However, one person who has not had a good start is McGuigan, who made a hash of the first trial after admitting that he had not bought his glasses as a luxury item.

Having returned with no stars, he could be vulnerable for an early exit, particularly as it is 40 years since he was world champion and he may not have a strong profile among younger viewers of the show.
