The Snooker Shoot Out will reach a climax in Watford tonight, but the champion must still win five matches on the final day to clinch the title.

As usual in this tournament, the early rounds have seen plenty of upsets and Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Selby, Kyren Wilson, Ali Carter, Mark Williams and last year’s champion Thepchaiya Un-Nooh have already departed.

Going into this afternoon’s third-round ties, Shaun Murphy heads the market at 7-1, but a pair of talented Chinese cuemen could be the ones to back at this stage.

Xiao Guodong is no stranger to success in this tournament, having made the final in 2015 and 2017. He also made an eye-catching century in the last round and looks decent value at 20-1.

His compatriot Luo Honghao has also looked in fine form, seeing off Mark Allen in the opening round. He faces Billy Joe Castle first and looks capable of going all the way.
