Final: Ding Junhui v Kyren Wilson
Eurosport 1, 7am & midday Sunday

Ding Junhui held off a desperate fightback from Luca Brecel to reach his 18th ranking final and the Chinese ace can take full advantage of home support by defeating Kyren Wilson in Yushan.

China’s number one has claimed five of his 12 ranking titles on home soil and his reduced workload - this is just his second ranking event this term - has seen him arrive in Yushan fresh.

Victory for Ding would see him jump to second in the world rankings and he deserves credit for seeing off an in-form Brecel, who recently lifted the China Championship.

Ding mustered breaks of 121, 91 and 80 in his 6-4 win over the Belgian and the longer format - first to ten frames - is likely to suit him even more.

Wilson has also been in blistering form but his deciding-frame win over Mark Allen in the last four was scrappy - his highest break was 82 - and the closer he got to the winning line, the nervier he became.

The Warrior should get plenty of chances to add to his Shanghai Masters win two seasons ago but Ding looks determined and should win by at least two frames.

Recommendation
D Junhui -1.5 frames
