Sale have made a habit of claiming victory on week one of the Premiership season and that theme looks set to continue when they host Harlequins on Sunday.

The Sharks have beaten Northampton Saints three times as well as Bath once in their last four season-openers and they earned 37 points at the Salford Community Stadium last season.

Quins have brought in some experienced players in the summer, but several key members of their squad have moved on to pastures new and Andre Esterhuizen and Louis Lynagh, who scored a combined ten tries between them, have left to join the Sharks and Benetton. 

With big holes to fill in their back line, it may take a few games for the Quins to get going and they could falter against a Sale side who should be buoyed by the memory of their 37-31 success in this fixture last season. Another Sale win by one to 12 points looks a likely outcome.
