Leicester vs Bristol predictions

Bristol are flying high in the Premiership and have won all four of their away matches this season, while Leicester have put in two strong performances in Europe over the last fortnight, and this has the makings of a hard-fought clash.

Hosts Leicester pulled off an impressive 56-17 victory over the Sharks in their last home match, having picked up a try bonus point at Bordeaux the week before, while Bristol's European hopes look forlorn after a pair of heavy defeats.

The good news for the Bears, though, is that fly-half AJ MacGinty is fit to start following a rib injury and Bristol have been putting in fearless performances in the league.

The West Country side scored the most points and tries in the first seven rounds, bagging a try bonus point every time, and look sure to take the fight to Leicester.

Bristol have lost only two league games this season, by margins of two and three points, and look worth backing with a seven-point start.

Sale vs Exeter predictions

Sale have made their home ground a stronghold and they should have too much for basement side Exeter, the only team without a Premiership win this season.

The Sharks have won their last six league matches at the Salford Community Stadium - a run that goes back to March - and they were impressive in a 29-7 victory over French heavyweights Racing 92 last weekend.

Exeter had two tough games in Europe over the last fortnight, losing to the Sharks in Durban then suffering a 64-21 defeat to champions Toulouse at home.

Before that they went down 19-15 to Bath at the Rec and this could be another close-fought encounter.

Both teams pack plenty of physicality and a rainy forecast may limit ambitions to play expansively. Five of Exeter's seven domestic matches this season have been settled by a margin of one to 12 points.
