Match preview

A rare round of midweek fixtures has already had coaches reaching deep into their squad lists and Sale have had to shuffle the most as they travel to in-form Wasps.

A 32-17 success over Worcester at the weekend made it five bonus-point wins in a row for Wasps, who have run in 26 tries in their last five games.

After making widespread changes for the visit of struggling Worcester, Wasps revert to the line-up that started against Northampton in their first match after the restart, minus injured prop Kieran Brookes.

Sale make nine changes to the team who lost to table-topping Exeter on Friday, with a half-back pairing of Will Cliff and AJ MacGinty.

There is still strength in the line-up but it may prove hard for them to hold back a Wasps side who are playing with a lot of confidence and freedom.

Sale have lost seven matches his term but six have come by ten points or fewer, and a Wasps win by one to 12 points looks the best bet.

Bristol v Exeter

Where to watch

BT Sport 2, 7.45pm Tuesday

Best bet

Exeter +5 on half-time handicap
2pts 10-11 general

Match preview

Team news is the big talking point for this clash as Exeter, who have used largely the same line-up in beating Leicester and Sale so far, go to Bristol with a much changed set of starters.

Only winger Olly Woodburn retains his place from the victory at Sale and director of rugby Rob Baxter has admitted to feeling "a trip into the unknown".

However, Exeter have shown time and again that their strength is not in their individuals but in the fine-tuning of their team play, and their pack can always be relied on to drive them forward.

Scotland international Sam Hidalgo-Clyne and clubs stalwart Gareth Steenson make up a solid half-back partnership.

Bristol boast plenty of attacking pace, with debutant tryscorer Semi Radrada and Charles Piutau in their ranks, and the Bears, on a run of seven successive victories, are sure to put up a fight.

Exeter's bench is not the strongest and they may be opened up by the end, but they are sure to battle from the off and can keep the scores close at the break.
