Northampton vs Sale predictions

Reigning Premiership champions Northampton have already lost twice on the road this season but they are excellent at home and should have too much for Sale.

Monday marks a year since the Saints' last home defeat and after away losses at playoff rivals Bath and Leicester, they can shine under the lights at Franklin's Gardens.

The Sharks have won their last two games, beating Gloucester and Newcastle. However, both fixtures were at home and their away form has been an Achilles heel. 

Alex Sanderson's side have lost nine of their last 11 on the road in all competitions and were outclassed in last month's 45-26 defeat at Saracens.

With winger George Hendy returning to the side, the Saints look good to win for the 12th straight home game in the league and can do so with a bit to spare.

Something has to give in the Premiership's other match, with Newcastle and Exeter searching for their first wins of 2024-25.

The Falcons have suffered 25 Premiership defeats in a row and even with injuries, the Chiefs look ready to get off the mark.

Winger Immanuel Feyi-Waboso has scored four tries this season and, after opening the scoring at Kingston Park on his team's previous visit last November, looks decent value to repeat the feat.

In the United Rugby Championship, unbeaten Bulls can back up their victory against Ospreys by defeating Scarlets. However, after winning last time out at Cardiff, Scarlets can limit the damage and look the bet with an 11-point start.

Flailing Ospreys look set for a sixth defeat in seven away trips when they head to Ulster, who have won eight of their last nine at home.  

With the hosts too short to back, considering Jacob Stockdale to cross the whitewash could be fruitful. The wing is returning to form and can grab a second try of the season.
