Leicester vs Bath predictions
Leicester left it late but a last-gasp try brought them victory at Exeter in round one last week and they can put up a similar battling performance in their first home match of the season against Bath.
Home is where the Tigers have done their best work and they have been handicap winners in five of their last seven Premiership games at Welford Road, including against Bath on New Year's Eve when they were giving up ten points but triumphed 35-22.
This time they are three-point underdogs and they are still missing key internationals Handre Pollard and Julian Montoya.
But their pack showed up strongly at Exeter after new head coach Michael Cheika had said he wanted to see more of a physical edge from the players, and they have an impressive back three of Anthony Watson, Ollie Hassell-Collins and Freddie Steward.
Bath were impressive last week in their opening victory over champions Northampton and have their big guns available including fly-half Finn Russell.
But this could be a different kind of game from the one we saw at the Rec last week which featured six tries, the first one coming inside five minutes.
Leicester kept a tight grip at Exeter in their round-one match and the first half looked set to finish scoreless until Tigers fly-half Jamie Shillcock popped over a drop goal on the stroke of half-time.
With a new coach at the helm and a loud home crowd behind them, Leicester will be fired up to dig in and fight, and they can at least keep this close.
