Bristol vs Gloucester predictions

Gloucester finished second-bottom of the Premiership last season with only five wins, and early on in last week's game against Saracens it looked as if they might be in for another tough ride.

The Cherry & Whites found themselves 17-0 down as half-time approached and there had been little sign of the attacking intent promised by coach George Skivington.

But after an improved second half Gloucester at least came away with a try-bonus point and they may be able to put in a more consistent performance with a game under their belts.

Gloucester next head to Ashton Gate, where they have lost on their last six visits, and they are given an 11-point start.

Bristol were comfortable 24-3 winners last week at Newcastle, but the Falcons finished bottom of the table last season without a win so it would be unwise to read much into that result yet.

It's a second match for new Gloucester half-back combination Tomos Williams and Gareth Anscombe, both Wales internationals. And while a win may be out of their reach, the visitors can at least keep things close.
