Sunday's Betfred Super League predictions

St Helens are hanging on to a place in Super League's top six by their fingernails after a dismal run of form but a trip to Huddersfield on Sunday could help calm their nerves.

Paul Wellens' side have been embarrassed in their last two outings, losing 20-0 to rivals Wigan at Magic Weekend and then 42-6 at home to Hull KR last weekend.

It will be of little consolation to Saints but the Warriors and Robins have at least been the best two sides in the competition this year, making Huddersfield's woeful 60-10 drubbing at the hands of Salford last weekend look even worse for the Giants than it was.

Morgan Knowles's return from a ban should boost Saints' forward power and he could be joined in the pack by powerhouse prop Alex Walmsley, who has passed a fitness test. The experienced duo can help the Saints wrestle their way to victory in a must-win game.

Leeds Rhinos have also entered must-win territory in the pursuit for a playoff berth and last weekend's 18-6 win over the Catalans will have given them a massive boost.

Brad Arthur's side are only two points adrift of the top six and have won three of their last five outings to give themselves a chance of reaching Old Trafford in October.

Leeds put 30 points past Wigan a few weeks ago and could find their attacking range against London, who have conceded 30 or more points in their previous two games in the capital.
