Saturday's Betfred Super League predictions

Salford have a golden chance to solidify their place in the top four of the Betfred Super League on Saturday when they travel to ailing Hull FC.

The Red Devils have been one of Super League's success stories this year, with Paul Rowley's side winning 15 of their 25 games.

They have lost three of their last five league outings, but those defeats came against teams in the top six, a position Hull can only dream of being in right now.

The Airlie Birds cannot wait for the season to be over after recording just three wins all year, and they may be powerless to stop a rampant Salford attack after conceding 107 points in their last two games.

Salford are not the only team in action on Saturday seeking to fine-tune their playoff preparations.

Third-placed Warrington can still finish second and claim a home semi-final if results go their way in the final two rounds of the regular season.

The Wolves have won four of their previous five in Super League, including a morale-boosting 16-2 win over rivals St Helens last weekend, and while the Wire's defence has caught the eye all season, they desperately need to make a statement in attack after a quiet few weeks with the ball in hand.

Warrington thumped Huddersfield 48-0 in July and they will be aiming to put at least 40 points on the Giants for the third game in succession at the John Smith's Stadium. A 16-point handicap line should be in their grasp.

Catalans welcome London to the south of France in Saturday's final contest knowing they cannot afford to slip-up if they want to make the top six.

The Dragons are 1-12 for victory but will be only too aware of the Broncos' ability having lost 12-10 in London at the start of August.
