Friday's Betfred Super League predictions

There are just three rounds of the regular season remaining in the Betfred Super League and the destination of the League Leaders' Shield for finishing top of the pile is still in the balance.

Hull KR lead the way on points difference from champions Wigan Warriors and the pair meet in a mouth-watering clash at the DW Stadium on Friday.

The pair are locked on 38 points after 24 rounds, four clear of third-placed Warrington Wolves, and this clash could be equally tight.

The title rivals have met twice already this season, with KR running out 26-10 winners on home soil in round nine before the Warriors exacted their revenge with a 38-6 drubbing of the Robins in the Betfred Challenge Cup semi-finals.

The Warriors are warm favourites to win this one but Hull KR have won 12 of their last 13 matches and it could swing either way.

St Helens, Warrington and Catalans Dragons have all been sent packing in that run and an away win would not come as a huge surprise at 17-10.

However, preference is for Wigan to edge to victory on home soil and steal a march on the race to finish top.

The chase to join Wigan and Hull KR in the playoff is heating up and Leeds Rhinos and Leigh Leopards look to have timed their runs nicely.

The Rhinos have won four of their last six and should be too strong for hapless Hull FC at Headingley, while the Leopards should be able to tame the Tigers at the Jungle.

Leigh have won eight of their last nine matches to slip into sixth spot and they can strengthen their playoff claims with a victory over Castleford, who have little left to play for this season.
