Match preview
Tottenham were the only team to reach the September international break with a 100 per cent record but their perfect start could be unpicked by Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
It is been an impressive start for Nuno, who spent much of the summer wondering whether Harry Kane would stay at the club, but the Portuguese has been handed a raft of fresh problems.
Davinson Sanchez, Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Romero all headed off for international duty against the club's wishes so have to self-isolate on their return while another four - Ryan Sessegnon, Oliver Skipp, Steven Bergwijn and Heung-Min Son - have picked up injuries.
It leaves Nuno contemplating four enforced changes to the team which lined up at home to Watford and the upheaval makes a tricky fixture even more of a challenge.
Tottenham have failed to win on their last three visits to Selhurst Park and face a Palace team eager to register their first victory of the season.
Patrick Vieira's side were outclassed in a 3-0 loss at Chelsea but have improved in each of their subsequent league matches, drawing 0-0 at home to Brentford and 2-2 at West Ham.
They twice came from behind to earn a deserved point against the Hammers and approach the Spurs game with a few more options thanks to the signing of Odsonne Edouard and Will Hughes plus the return to fitness of Michael Olise and Luka Milivojevic.
It is still early days for Vieira but there have been signs of a more balanced approach, which has moved the team on from long-established tactics of defending deep and hitting opponents on the counter-attack.
They had the majority of the ball against Brentford, who were the best passing side in the Championship last season, and showed a cutting edge against the Hammers with Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher helping himself to two excellent goals.
Gallagher's forward runs give them another dimension and release some of the emphasis from Wilfried Zaha, who has carried the team for too long.
The Eagles no longer looked a one-man team against the Hammers and, with Olise and Edouard adding their goalscoring instincts to the mix, there are plenty of reasons for Palace fans to have a more optimistic outlook.
Palace are 11-8 third favourites in the relegation betting, but their squad looks stronger than the group who finished 14th last term and they can begin to change perceptions by taking at least a point against an understrength Spurs.
