Reed can lead the American challenge
Determined Texan comfortable overseas
Tournament starts midnight Wednesday
Live on Sky Sports Golf, from 3am Thursday
Patrick Reed seems likely to jet to Korea with a professional attitude, sensing an opportunity to end a victory drought stretching to almost 14 months, and the Texan looks a decent wager for top American honours in the CJ Cup.
Reed finished last season strongly, sharing second place in the USPGA Championship before a lucrative FedEx Cup playoffs in which he posted three top-20s. He scored 3.5 points in the Presidents Cup in his last outing.
Reed has shown himself to be a capable overseas performer, particularly on the European Tour at the end of 2015, and could easily take a shine to Nine Bridges in Korea.
