Peterborough v QPR
QPR have climbed back into the Championship top six despite losing their last three away games but it was not so long ago that they were very effective travellers and they should be too strong for Peterborough at London Road.
Over the course of this year QPR have taken 30 points from 18 away games and they head to Peterborough on a high after a superb goal from classy midfielder Ilias Chair gave them a well-deserved 1-0 victory at home to Blackburn on Tuesday.
Chair is on five league goals – just three short of his career best figures – and shares club top-scorer status with Scotland international striker Lyndon Dykes.
Warburton also has proven second-tier strikers Charlie Austin and Andre Gray at the club and his array of attacking talent will surely be a concern to Peterborough, who have the worst defensive record in the division having conceded 26 goals.
The Posh rode their luck to win 2-1 at fellow strugglers Hull on Wednesday but they look a side destined to be in the relegation scrap for much of the campaign.
Star striker Jonson Clarke-Harris will be key to their survival hopes but he completes a four-game ban this weekend and his absence improves the visitors' chances of taking all three points.
Morecambe v Plymouth
Plymouth seem to be enjoying their status as League One pace-setters and can remain at the head of affairs by beating Morecambe.
There are a lot of big beasts in the third tier this season but Plymouth do not seem to be fazed by the size of the clubs around them.
Since reaching the summit Argyle have kicked on – winning 3-1 at Oxford and 3-0 at home to Bolton – and they can give the travelling Green Army even more to shout about by registering a fourth successive league victory.
Facing Plymouth looks a daunting task for the Shrimps, who are 18th after losing three games on the bounce.
Stephen Robinson's side have been leaking goals at an alarming rate and a change of shape failed to do the trick when they lost 3-1 at Cheltenham on Tuesday.
Morecambe have the worst defensive record in the division (24 goals conceded) and are likely to be exposed by the leaders, who can extend their unbeaten sequence to 14 league games.
Stevenage v Leyton Orient
Experienced Leyton Orient manager Kenny Jackett is more aware than most of the ups and downs of football management and his steady hand can help the League Two promotion-chasers to snap a five-game winless sequence by defeating lowly Stevenage.
Jackett has achieved two promotions in a managerial career which stretches back to a one-season spell at Watford in 1996-97, and he will be eyeing up a third this term.
Orient's squad looks a lot deeper this year and they look particularly strong in attacking areas with Harry Smith, Theo Archibald, Aaron Drinan, Ruel Sotiriou and Paul Smyth jockeying for places.
The Londoners were the better side in a 1-1 draw at home to Forest Green on Tuesday – winning the shot count 13 to six – and they can get the better of fifth-bottom Boro, who are likely to lack confidence after successive 3-0 losses away to Oldham and Northampton.
Walsall v Barrow
Walsall have been one of League Two's most improved teams in recent weeks and can extend their unbeaten run to five league games with a victory over Barrow.
The Saddlers have been playing some good football and have looked more of a threat since Connor Wilkinson's return from injury.
Wilkinson bagged the winner in Walsall's 2-1 success at home to Salford a fortnight ago and his pacy partnership with Barnsley loanee George Miller could be tough for Barrow to handle.
Barrow are having a strong season but they have gone four games without a win and are heading to Walsall at a difficult time.
