Leipzig v Borussia Dortmund
Leipzig boss Jesse Marsch described the 2-2 draw with Paris Saint-Germain in midweek as a "big step in the right direction" but the improving Red Bulls could get a reality check at home to Borussia Dortmund this week.
Whilst it's true Leipzig have looked improved of late, they have still managed only two wins in their last six games and those came against unimpressive Greuther Furth and Babelsburg outfits.
This weekend's opponents Dortmund, meanwhile, are hot on the heels of Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich with eight wins from their ten matches.
And while the continued absence of Erling Haaland is frustrating, the likes of Thorgan Hazard and Marco Reus have enough in their locker to overpower a Leipzig defence missing Willi Orban, Lukas Klostermann and Marcel Halstenberg.
Dortmund are overpriced this weekend and look a decent bet.
Valencia v Atletico Madrid
Successive defeats to Liverpool have left Atletico Madrid's Champions League campaign in a precarious position but it has been a different story in La Liga.
Diego Simeone's men are only three points off top spot in the league with a game in hand, having lost only one of their 11 assignments in 2021-22.
And their most recent success - a 3-0 thumping of top-four hopefuls Real Betis - should have done their confidence a world of good.
As for Valencia, they enjoyed a big derby win over Villarreal last time out, prompting praise for their defensive work from manager Jose Bordalas, but were on a seven-game winless run beforehand and are worth opposing against highflying Atleti.
Nice v Montpellier
Nice are armed with a wealth of talented forwards this season including Euro 2020 star Kasper Dolberg and 21-year-old Amine Gouiri but the one to have stood out so far this term is Andy Delort.
Delort left Montpellier for Nice at the end of August this year and the Algerian international looks a good bet to score against his former club this weekend.
The 30-year-old has seven league goals to his name this term - five of which have been netted during his Nice tenure - and in the last three seasons of French top-flight football, only Kylian Mbappe (83) has scored more in Ligue 1 than Delort (44).
His brace against Angers last time out helped his side record a comeback win and, playing against his former club, he should have plenty of motivation to get on the scoresheet once again.
