This week's NFL TV game predictions

Jacksonville Jaguars at Chicago Bears predictions

The NFL returns to London for a second straight week as the Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Chicago Bears at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Jaguars have a solid record in London, having won on three of their past four visits to the English capital including both games last year.

They belatedly earned their first victory of the season last week, beating the Indianapolis Colts 37-34, and this game pits two former first-round picks against each other. Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence has endured a slow start to the season, but rookie Caleb Williams is starting to find his feet in the NFL.

Williams struggled at first, but has just led the Bears to back-to-back wins against the Los Angeles Rams and Carolina Panthers. While the NFC North is highly competitive this season, they have a 3-2 record, and another win could all but end Jacksonville's playoff hopes by dropping them to 1-5.

Chicago's running game has been a work in progress, but the emergency of Roschon Johnson has taken the pressure off D'Andre Swift, and the pair should be able to punish Jacksonville.

While Lawrence improved last week against the Colts, Indianapolis were without star players Anthony Richardson and Jonathan Taylor. The Jags should have won by more than a field goal, and they allowed 24 points in the fourth quarter.

Chicago pose a bigger threat than the Colts and they can spoil Jacksonville's return to London.

Washington Commanders at Baltimore Ravens predictions

The Washington Commanders will look to continue their fine start when they make the short trip north to face the Baltimore Ravens.

Washington are top of the NFC East after a 4-1 start under coach Dan Quinn, while the Ravens lead the AFC North at 3-2 after three consecutive wins over the Cowboys, Bills and Bengals.

Baltimore's offence has been firing in recent weeks scoring 41 points in Cincinnati and 35 against the Bills, and they have yet to score fewer than 20 points this season.

That should spell trouble for a Washington team who have allowed 23 points per game. Ravens running back Derrick Henry has recorded 442 rushing yards in the last three weeks, and Washington have given up 130 yards per game on the ground.

Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels is an early frontrunner for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award, but he faces his toughest test yet against the Ravens.

Offensively, the Commanders have been a revelation, averaging 38 points over their last three games against the Bengals, Cardinals and Browns.

However, the Ravens are tough to beat at M&T Bank Stadium. They have won their last ten home games by an average of 17.8 points and should record another comfortable victory.

Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys predictions

The Dallas Cowboys host the Detroit Lions in one of the best games of NFL Week Six. The Cowboys are 3-2, while the Lions are 3-1 after having an early bye week.

The Lions are looking to put the record straight after last season's controversial 20-19 Week 17 defeat by the Cowboys, when the officials made a crucial late error.

Dallas have won back-to-back games, but their recent wins over the Giants and Steelers were narrow and the Cowboys' injury report is growing, with key defensive players Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence ruled out.

Having had two weeks to prepare, the Lions should have enough offensively to collect an important win with running backs David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs racking up yards on the ground and taking the pressure off quarterback Jared Goff.

Cincinnati Bengals at New York Giants predictions

Time is running out for the Cincinnati Bengals to prove they could secure a playoff spot as they prepare to head to the Meadowlands to take on the New York Giants.

Cincinnati are 1-4 and are struggling to kill off teams, while the Giants are still showing signs of life at 2-3. The Bengals have been woeful defensively and it is five weeks since one of their games fell below 51 points and their last four have produced 51, 71, 58 and 79 points.

Defensively, the Bengals are getting worse as their last three opponents all picked up 350 total yards and they have been awful on third and fourth down in the red zone.

On a more positive note, quarterback Joe Burrow has been one of the best passers in the league after a slow start following his wrist injury last year.

The Giants have shown they can cope without their best wide receiver, Malik Nabers, who has been ruled out due to concussion. Nabers missed the Giants' 29-20 win over the Seahawks, but they still posted 420 yards of offence.

Tom Hill's Week Six best bets

Best money line bet

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
3pts 4-7 Betfair, Hills

The Bucs face NFC South rivals the New Orleans Saints this week and they will be taking on rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler.

New Orleans are without regular starter Derek Carr due to injury, putting the pressure on Rattler in his first start. While the Saints believe in Rattler, the offensive line in front of him has been inconsistent.

Tampa Bay suffered an overtime defeat to the Atlanta Falcons last time out, so if they can use that as motivation, they should be able to give Rattler a debut to forget.

Best handicap bet

Atlanta Falcons -6
2pts 10-11 general

The Falcons and look good value to punish the hapless Carolina Panthers in their NFC South clash.

Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins has thrown eight touchdowns this season when not under pressure, and that stat may improve against the struggling Panthers.

Carolina are 29th in the NFL in pass-rush win rate, so expect Cousins to build on his excellent display against the Bucs and help his team secure a comfortable win.

Best points bet

Under 35.5 points in Los Angeles Chargers at Denver Broncos
2pts 10-11 general

The Chargers are favourites for this AFC West showdown despite not beating the Broncos in Denver since 2018. They have not scored a touchdown in the second half since Week 1, and they face a Broncos defence who have the second-best record in points allowed per game.

Both teams have been strong defensively and have not pulled up any trees with the ball in hand, so all signs point to a low-scoring affair.

Best prop bet

Kyler Murray over 32.5 rushing yards in Arizona Cardinals at Green Bay Packers
1pt 10-11 bet365

Kyler Murray has enjoyed a stellar campaign and he leads all quarterbacks in yards per rush with an average of 10.7. He will need to use his legs to help the Arizona Cardinals compete against the Green Bay Packers.

Murray is explosive and can change a game in an instant, and he is facing a Packers defence who have given up 4.4 yards per carry.
