Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins predictions

The Buffalo Bills' defence looked vulnerable in their 34-28 Week One win against the Cardinals and that could make for another high-scoring contest when they visit Miami. 

While Arizona made a fast start on Sunday, Buffalo did a fantastic job of controlling possession in the second half, eventually earning victory as quarterback Josh Allen took charge.

Allen’s 261 total yards and two touchdowns were complemented by a defence which improved throughout the game and pounced on the Cardinals’ mistakes.

However, the Arizona offence has room for improvement while the Dolphins’ established attack is likely to pose more questions for the visitors, especially in the continued absence of star linebacker Matt Milano.

Without Milano, Buffalo allowed seven touchdowns and forced zero interceptions last season while covering the middle third of the field. In the five games he played, they made five interceptions and did not concede a touchdown.

The Dolphins, perhaps not helped by the drama surrounding wide receiver Tyreek Hill’s Sunday morning arrest, needed time to find their rhythm in their last-gasp 20-17 home win over the Jaguars.

However, once they clicked into gear, Tua Tagovailoa and his offence totalled 400 yards, with the vast majority coming right at the end of the first half and in the second. 

These teams have combined for more than 60 points in three of their last five battles while injuries and bad weather have been influential when the total has stayed low. 

Both offences seemed to improve as their opening matches went on, so expect them to pile up more points in week two.
