Netball World Cup: free betting tips, preview and when to watch
Tracey Neville's England can claim their first global crown
TV: Sky Sports Main Event, from 8.30am Friday
There is virtually nothing to choose between England and Australia on all known evidence so back England at the bigger odds to win their first Netball World Cup.
The tournament starts in Liverpool on Friday, runs through until Sunday week and is covered in its entirety by Sky Sports.
Tracey Neville’s Roses have home advantage and carry loads of confidence into the tournament after their epic last-second Commonwealth Games triumph over the Diamonds last year.
Since then a number of their squad have improved their game in Australian Super Netball, and it is hard to detect a weakness.
Jo Harten and Commonwealth heroine Helen Housby form a great shooting duo, and defensive star Geva Mentor will ensure opposition attacks have to work for every point.
The Diamonds have undergone plenty of changes since last year but they do not look any stronger for it, although it is only on the prices that there is much to choose between the big two.
Jamaica are not without their backers and with the likes of Jhaniele Fowler and Romelda Aiken up front they will certainly be a proper handful for opposition defences, but the Sunshine Girls may come up just short.
