Swedish Grand Prix preview
Bartosz Zmarzlik took a giant step towards a third world title by pipping Great Britain’s Robert Lambert to a hard-fought victory in Vojens last weekend.
The Pole is 20 points clear of his closest pursuer Leon Madsen with two rounds remaining and will clinch the world title in Sweden on Saturday if he betters Madsen's result.
Former world champion Jason Doyle, who currently languishes in tenth in the overall standings, has failed to reach the heights expected of him this campaign but he bounced back to form with a much more promising display in Vojens.
The Aussie raced with plenty of determination and missed out on a place in the final by only a bike length, despite having a tough draw to contend with.
Doyle finished fourth in Sweden last year - his best result of the entire season - and it could have been even better had he not been excluded for touching the tapes in the final.
He possessed a mighty 2.6 points-per-heat average at the Skrotfrag Arena when racing for Dackarna in the Swedish league last season and could be worth chancing at big odds in Malilla on Saturday.
British sensation Dan Bewley failed to advanced past the heats last week but this grippy circuit should suit and he heads the list of dangermen.
Maciej Janowski and Freddie Lindgren boast strong track records at the Skrotfrag Arena and should again score well, although poor recent form tempers enthusiasm.
