Polish Grand Prix predictions

Great Britain’s Dan Bewley topped the Cardiff rostrum two weeks ago to become the seventh different winner in as many rounds of the World Championship and that tally could be extended to eight with Leon Madsen worthy of an each-way punt in Poland.

Madsen has endured a frustrating campaign, accentuated by personal off-track issues, but there have been positive signs in recent weeks that he's returning to something near his best.

The Dane finished fourth at the penultimate round in Gorzow (he suffered an engine defect shortly after the start) and, while he failed to make the semi-finals in Cardiff, things didn't necessarily go his way.

The featherweight tends to prosper around the smooth, wide-open Polish tracks and this Wroclaw circuit, which Madsen suggested in a pre-season interview was his favourite, should see him in much better light.

Indeed, the 35-year-old has made the podium in three of the last six events held at the Olympic Stadium.

Madsen sits second in the Polish league classification, boasting an impressive 2.42 points-per-heat average, and the four-time Grand Prix winner is no stranger to success on the world stage.

Championship leader Bartosz Zmarzlik deservingly heads the betting on home soil, despite struggling with equipment issues recently, but in-form Robert Lambert represents the biggest danger.
