Yorkshire's hopes of reaching the T20 Blast quarter-finals were ended by a 43-run defeat to Durham on Wednesday and they may struggle to bounce back against Lancashire at Old Trafford.

The Vikings' six-wicket defeat to Lancashire at Headingley on Monday left them needing to win their last three games to have a chance of qualifying but they stumbled at the first hurdle against Durham.

Yorkshire's plans have been disrupted after captain David Willey tested positive for Covid-19 and teammates Matt Fisher, Josh Poysden and Tom Kohler-Cadmore, who had come in to contact with Willey, also miss the trip to Old Trafford.

Lancashire have won four of their five completed Blast matches this season, losing only to North Group leaders Nottinghamshire, and they are unlikely to show depleted Yorkshire any mercy.
