Boston shook off the rust and shook up St Louis with a powerful comeback to win Game One of the Stanley Cup Finals, and we can expect a repeat performance in Game Two.

The Bruins looked apprehensive going into the series opener after an 11-day lay-off following their whitewash of Carolina, and duly fell two goals down.

But as Boston found their game St Louis lost their heads, piling up ten minutes of penalties and that spelled curtains for the western conference champs.

Boston scored four unanswered goals for a 4-2 win and should get better.

They were certainly that much stronger in Game One than the Blues, who needed some excellent work from goalie Jordan Binnington to limit the damage.

Boston have all the aces – the power, the physicality, the scoring threat – and on home ice they really ought to be chalking up another two-goal win, maybe more.

Boston -1.5
