Allianz Hurling League predictions
Cork vs Limerick predictions
TG4, 7.30pm Saturday
This should be a belter. Cork will go in full of confidence after twice defeating Limerick in the championship last season, while their resounding opening-round win over Wexford will have given them a further boost.
Padraig Power scored 1-4 last week and seems an excellent addition to Cork's forward line last week. Brian Hayes also looked sharp and their firepower is further bolstered by the return of Alan Connolly, albeit the suspended Declan Dalton will be a loss.
Cork are favourites but Limerick will be treating this like a championship game as they attempt to turn the tables on their rivals and have named a strong starting 15 featuring many of their marquee players.
How they'll cope with the loss of goalkeeper Nickie Quaid is a huge question mark but they will be out for revenge against last season's conquerors.
It promises to be tight but Limerick are worth chancing to have their noses in front come the final whistle.
Kilkenny vs Galway predictions
TG4 (deferred), 1.45pm Sunday
Galway were dreadful in defeat at home to Tipperary last week and were lucky to escape with only a 12-point loss.
Things don't get any easier for them on Sunday with a trip down to Nowlan Park and it's hard to see them bouncing back against a Kilkenny team who fielded a strong side in their first-round win over Clare.
This Kilkenny team play every game at an incredibly high-octane level, irrespective of the competition or their opposition, so there's no concern about taking Michael Donoghue's side for granted after their opening display.
With the likes of Eoin Cody, Martin Keoghan and Paddy Deegan having already hit the ground running, Kilkenny should have too much class. But they don't tend to hammer teams and Galway will be determined to put in a much better performance so could keep it reasonably close.
Tipperary vs Wexford predictions
3.45pm Sunday
Wexford are in disarray with injuries, retirements and no Lee Chin for the foreseeable, and it was evident as they spent most of last week chasing Cork's shadow.
Their hopes of being competitive rest mainly on Rory O'Connor's shoulders but his straight red card against Cork means he is suspended for Sunday's match against Tipperary.
Tipp were excellent against Galway and, as usual, Liam Cahill seems to have them firing on all cylinders early in the campaign.
There is every chance that this could get ugly for the visitors.
