With leading lights Arsenal and Manchester City both short prices to follow last week's 2-2 draw at the Emirates with wins over Brighton and Leicester, the best betting opportunity of this weekend in the Women's Super League may come in the final match on Sunday.

Tottenham would love to be considered on a par with the Gunners and Citizens and they made a great start to the season against promoted Crystal Palace last week.

Spurs were rampant, steering 17 shots on target in a ruthless 4-0 win over the Eagles, and they can build on their dominant opening performance when they visit Aston Villa.

There were signs that Spurs were ready to push on last season when they ended the campaign with just one defeat in their final nine games, a 1-0 reverse against champions Chelsea.

Villa lost to the Blues by the same scoreline in their WSL opener last week, but they have won just one of their last seven matches and it perhaps of even greater concern that they've won just once in 14 home outings.

They have conceded at least twice 12 times in that run and could be up against it when they host goal-hungry Spurs.
